Accra, March 29, – The Central Regional Police Command has arrested a man captured in a viral video allegedly assaulting a woman at Cape Coast.
The suspect, Samuel Bills Acquah, 40, is accused of assaulting a 30-year-old woman with whom he has a child.
A police press release said the incident was reported on March 27, 2026, at about 2130 hours, indicating that the suspect allegedly attacked the victim at Bakano, a suburb of Cape Coast.
Police officers, acting swiftly on the report, proceeded to the scene and arrested the suspect.
He is currently in custody assisting with investigations.
The statement, signed by Chief Inspector Evans Ettie, Public Affairs Officer of the Command, said the suspect would be arraigned before court on March 30, 2026.
