Dreams FC set up Nations FC final clash after semi-final triumphs

Accra, April 21, - Dreams FC will square off with Nations FC in the final of the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup following hard-fought semi-final victories at the Swedru Sports Stadium.

Dreams FC sealed their final berth with a pulsating 3–2 win over Medeama SC in a match full of twists and momentum shifts, eventually decided by a late strike from veteran forward John Antwi.

Kelvin Ahiable opened the scoring in the 23rd minute after Dreams FC dominated early proceedings, before Suraj Seidu doubled the advantage shortly before the half-hour mark to put them in control.

Medeama SC fought back before recess through Prince Owusu, who reduced the deficit to keep the game finely balanced going into the break.

The Tarkwa-based side levelled matters four minutes into the second half when Richard Appiah found the equaliser, setting up a tense finish.

However, Dreams FC regained the lead late on as Antwi pounced on a defensive lapse to restore their advantage and ultimately secure qualification.

In the other semi-final, Nations FC continued their remarkable cup debut campaign with a narrow 1–0 victory over Aduana FC.

Emmanuel Annor scored the decisive goal as early as the seventh minute, calmly converting to hand the Abrankese-based side an early edge they managed to protect throughout the encounter.

Despite sustained pressure from Aduana FC, Nations FC held firm defensively under the leadership of captain Razak Simpson to secure a historic passage into their first FA Cup final.

Their run to the final has seen them eliminate Ebony FC, Swedru All Blacks, Berekum Chelsea and Aduana FC, underlining a strong debut tournament performance.

The final will pit Dreams FC’s experience against Nations FC’s breakthrough momentum, with both sides chasing domestic glory and a coveted continental ticket.
