The appointment is aimed at enhancing Dagbon’s international visibility, promoting its rich cultural heritage, and strengthening global partnerships. Ms Annoh will operate from the United Kingdom, where she is expected to drive strategic communications and international engagement for the Kingdom.

Promoting Dagbon’s Cultural Identity

Yendi is widely recognised for producing Fugu (Batakari), a traditional handwoven garment symbolising royalty, strength, and identity.

In recognition of its cultural importance, the Government of Ghana has designated Wednesdays as National Fugu Day, an initiative led by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts to promote local craftsmanship and national pride.

The campaign has gained traction both locally and internationally, with increasing global demand for authentic Ghanaian cultural products.

Profile of the Appointee

Ms Annoh, an alumna of Aggrey Memorial School, is an award-winning, multilingual communications professional with experience in public relations, tourism, corporate reputation management, and stakeholder engagement.

She has worked with high-level executives, institutions, and international clients, bringing expertise in brand positioning, tourism development, and global communications to her new role.

Her appointment is expected to boost Dagbon’s global cultural and economic footprint, particularly in the promotion of traditional industries such as the growing Fugu market.
