Ho (V/R), March 6, — Ghanaian music icon Stonebwoy has donated GH¢100,000 to support a youth development initiative in the Volta Region during the Torcher Experience Concert held in Ho.
Thousands of music lovers gathered at the Adaklu Youth Resource Centre for the event, which blended entertainment with youth empowerment.
The crowd erupted with excitement when the artiste made his grand entrance to the Ewe song “Mele Gbagbe Há Wo le Alia,” prompting fans to sing along while lighting up the night with phone flashlights.
Stonebwoy appeared on stage with choreographed movements and was escorted by performers dressed in white attire carrying long sticks, drawing cheers from the audience as he acknowledged the massive turnout.
The concert grounds remained vibrant as fans sang along to the artiste’s popular songs, creating a festive atmosphere that lasted into the early hours of the morning.
Support for youth entrepreneurship
During the event, the musician announced a GH¢100,000 seed contribution to the Volta Youth Development Fund, an initiative aimed at promoting youth entrepreneurship and creating opportunities for young people in the region.
A delegation led by James Gunu, accompanied by Edem Agbana and Edem Kpotosu, attended the concert and presented a citation to the artiste in recognition of his contributions to music and youth empowerment.
Mr Gunu commended Stonebwoy for promoting the Volta Region and Ghana internationally through his music while inspiring young people to pursue their talents.
Although the event drew large crowds and energetic performances, some patrons raised concerns about intermittent sound challenges during parts of the show.
Despite this, many fans remained at the venue until about 05:30 hours, cheering and calling for more performances as the artiste continued to entertain the audience.
