Accra, March 24, – The Black Stars have welcomed Antoine Semenyo and Deputy Captain Thomas Partey to their training camp ahead of Friday’s international friendly against Austria.
On Monday, the team conducted a balanced training session at the Vienna Football Campus, with most players present for the opening one-hour workout. Players who had featured for their clubs on Sunday completed light recovery routines, while the others participated in tactical and shooting drills under the technical team’s guidance.
Participants included goalkeepers Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Benjamin Asare, and Joseph Anang; defenders Patrick Pfeiffer, Derrick Luckassen, Derrick Kohn, Jerome Opoku, Caleb Yirenkyi, Kojo Oppong Pepprah, Jonas Adjetey, Marvin Senaya, and Gideon Mensah; and midfielders and attackers Elisha Owusu, Ibrahim Sulemana, Kwasi Sibo, Jordan Ayew, Prince Kwabena Adu, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Antoine Semenyo, Kamal Deen Sulemana, and Daniel Agyei.
Alexander Djiku and Kojo Oppong Peprah are expected to join on Tuesday, completing the squad for the Austria match on March 27, followed by another friendly against Germany three days later. Both matches serve as key tests ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June.
