GPL Week 26: Gold Stars Go Top, Kotoko Keep Title Pressure


Accra, March 23, Bibiani Gold Stars FC moved to the top of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League table after a 1-0 home victory over Vision FC, with eight matches remaining in the season.

Michael Nkoah scored early in the second half at Dun’s Park to secure the win, lifting Gold Stars to 48 points, two ahead of Medeama SC, who dropped to second after a 2-1 loss to Dreams FC at the Tuba AstroTurf.

Asante Kotoko SC climbed to third following a 3-0 victory over Nations FC in Kumasi, keeping their title hopes alive and moving within six points of the top.

Meanwhile, Accra Hearts of Oak SC were held to a goalless draw by Heart of Lions FC in Kpando, leaving the Phobians fourth and level on points with Kotoko.

At the bottom half of the table, Bechem United FC boosted their survival chances with a 2-1 win over Aduana FC, while Berekum Chelsea FC defeated Karela United FC 2-0.

Basake Holy Stars FC continued their impressive home form with a 1-0 win over Young Apostles FC, recording a ninth consecutive home victory. Swedru All Blacks FC also moved out of the relegation zone after a 1-0 win against Hohoe United FC.

In another fixture, Techiman Eleven Wonders FC fought back to draw 2-2 with FC Samartex 1996, though Eleven Wonders remain bottom of the table.
