Accra, March 23, – Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, have opened a week‑long training camp in Vienna on Sunday with 14 players reporting on the first day training ahead of Friday’s international friendly against Austria.
Captain Jordan Ayew was among the early arrivals, joining a group that included Benjamin Asare, Patric Pfeiffer, Ibrahim Sulemana, Prince Kwabena Adu, Jonas Adjetey and Daniel Agyei.
Others include Derrick Kohn, Marvin Senaya, Gideon Mensah, Elisha Owusu, Kwasi Sibo, Jerome Opoku and Joseph Tetteh Anang.
Additional squad members are expected to join the camp on Monday before the team holds its first full training session.
Ghana would face Austria on March 27 and Germany three days later.
Both matches are part of the Black Stars’ preparations for the 2026 World Cup in Mexico, Canada and the United States.
