Accra, March 19, — The Ghana Football Association has launched a new online learning and examination platform aimed at improving the delivery of coaching education across the country.

The platform, known as the GFA Learning Portal, was introduced during the second batch of the Confederation of African Football License B Coaching Course held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

The initiative is part of the GFA Technical Department’s broader strategy to modernise coach education and expand access to training resources and assessment systems for coaches nationwide.

Digital shift in coach training

Joseph Kwame Mintah, Technical Director of the GFA, said the introduction of the portal demonstrated the Association’s commitment to strengthening technical development in Ghana football.

He explained that technology-driven education would help improve the efficiency, accessibility and quality of coaching courses, which are essential for long-term football development.

How the portal works

The portal was deployed under the supervision of Edward Gyamfi-Acheampong, who coordinated the technical implementation for the ongoing course.

The system was developed by Cyclux Consult and allows coaches to access course materials online, participate in structured lessons and complete examinations electronically.

The digital platform is expected to reduce reliance on paper-based examinations and improve standardisation in coaching education nationwide.

Participants in the ongoing CAF License B course are the first group to use the portal, with the Ghana Football Association expected to extend the system to other coaching licence programmes in the future as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots football development in the country.
