Accra, Feb. 25, – Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Board Chairman Prof. Titus Beyuo revealed government's National Integrated Bed Management and Referral Coordination System to eliminate chronic bed shortages in real time.
The IT-backed platform, nearing completion under the Health Minister, enables ambulance services to instantly locate available beds across facilities, the NDC MP for Lambussie told Parliament Tuesday.
"It allows real-time bed availability tracking," Prof. Beyuo said, lamenting the Charles Amissah tragedy—where the 29-year-old engineer died February 6 after three hospitals turned him away.
