Accra, Jan.15, -The Black
Princess of Ghana held Les Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon to a one all draw
game in Cameroon in the first leg of the Federation of International Football
Association (FIFA) U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier.
Coach Yusif Basigi’s lads, who
needed a very good results from the first game was drawn on level pegging by
Priscilla Adubea in the 52nd minute, after Takounda Engolo, had put the host in
the lead on the 11th minute.
Coach Basigi before the team’s
departure for the crucial encounter noted in an interview with the GNA Sports,
that his team was ready for the encounter and would take their chances to get a
good result before playing the second leg in two weeks time.
“My team is very prepared and we
have done all the necessary training rudiments that would put the girls in
shape for the game and we would make sure we utilize our chances as and when
they come to get a good result and possibly come with a win”.
The Black Princesses would
qualify for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup slated for France if they
are able to beat the Cameroonians in the return encounter on the 24th January,
2018 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
