Lead for Africa Unveils Two Apps to Boost Learning in Schools

Accra, April 1, — Lead for Africa, a pan-African education and technology company, has launched two innovative applications, “CountOn” and “WordSeeds”, aimed at enhancing teaching and learning in schools.

Speaking at the launch in Accra, Mr Daniel Dotse, Founder of Lead for Africa and Lead AI, explained that the apps were designed to tackle challenges faced by pupils and teachers.

“CountOn combines lesson plan generation with suggested teaching methods, helping teachers save time and improve classroom productivity,” he said.

“WordSeeds is a multilingual literacy app initially developed to improve English at the basic school level but now allows children to learn multiple languages, reflecting Ghana’s cultural diversity,” he added.

Mr Dotse highlighted the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the applications, emphasizing that understanding and using AI tools empowers teachers and pupils, rather than replacing educators. He indicated that feedback from users would inform the release of version two by the third quarter of 2026.

Mr Eric Osiakwan, CEO of Chanzo Capital, praised the apps and encouraged African techpreneurs to think globally while acting locally.

The launch attracted representatives from public and private institutions, as well as stakeholders in education and technology, all exploring ways to leverage the applications for better access to quality learning outcomes across Ghana.
