Navrongo, March 7, – Management of the War Memorial Hospital has announced plans to dispose of unidentified and unclaimed bodies currently kept at its mortuary.
Abraham Titigah, the Medical Superintendent, said in a press statement that the facility was currently holding five unidentified bodies.
He explained that the continued presence of the bodies was putting pressure on space at the mortuary.
The statement said the hospital would proceed with the disposal of the bodies from Friday, March 27, 2026, if they remained unclaimed.
Management has therefore appealed to the public, especially families with missing relatives, to visit the mortuary to assist with identification and collection of the bodies before the deadline.
