Accra, March 16, — The 2025/26 MTN FA Cup semi-final pairings have been confirmed, promising two thrilling encounters after a weekend of intense quarter-final action across Ghana.
The last four teams are Medeama SC, Dreams FC, Aduana FC, and Nations FC, each advancing after closely contested quarter-final matches.
Medeama SC vs Dreams FC
Medeama SC secured their semi-final berth with a 3–0 extra-time victory over Attram De Visser FC, courtesy of a sensational hat-trick from young striker Kelvin Nkrumah. With regulation time ending 0–0, Nkrumah scored in the 109th, 112th, and 114th minutes to send the Mauve and Yellow into the semi-finals.
They will face Dreams FC, who progressed after a dramatic 4–3 penalty shootout win over Heart of Lions in Cape Coast. Dreams FC had trailed following a goal from Seedorf Asante, but Suraj Seidu scored a last-minute equaliser to force penalties. The team held their nerve in the shootout to advance.
The semi-final matchup sets the stage for Dreams FC to challenge Medeama for a place in the FA Cup final.
Nations FC vs Aduana FC
In the other semi-final, surprise qualifiers Nations FC will face two-time Ghana Premier League champions Aduana FC.
Nations FC reached their first-ever FA Cup semi-final after a 4–3 penalty victory over Berekum Chelsea, following a tense 0–0 draw through 120 minutes. Despite strong efforts from Chelsea players Samuel Tenedu and Mohammed Siedu, Nations held their composure to progress.
Aduana FC booked their semi-final spot with a commanding 3–0 win against Techiman Liberty Youth at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, with goals from Daouda Ben Sidibe, Alex Boakye, and Emanuel Marfo. Aduana remain strong contenders for a domestic double, continuing to challenge for the Premier League title alongside their FA Cup campaign.
Dates and venues for the semi-finals are expected to be announced soon by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
