Accra, March 16, 2026 – Parliament has expressed deep sympathy to the families affected by a helicopter crash that claimed the lives of two people at Tema Community One, Site 18, earlier on Monday.
During parliamentary proceedings, Mr Nelson-Rockson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor, Majority Chief Whip and MP for South Dayi, conveyed the House’s condolences, noting that the incident had caused profound grief for both the victims’ families and the surrounding community. He assured that Parliament stands in solidarity with those mourning the loss.
Emergency personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service responded promptly to the crash site at Oninku Drive School Park, recovering the charred remains from the wreckage.
The tragic event has prompted national attention as authorities continue investigations into the cause of the crash.
