Sunyani, March 19, — President John Dramani Mahama continued his Resetting Ghana Tour with a second-day inspection of major construction projects in the Sunyani municipality, Bono Region.
The President visited the proposed site for the Bono Regional Airport, intended to establish Sunyani as a regional aviation hub under the Ghana Airport Company. He also toured the 34km Sunyani Outer Ring Road, being constructed by Kofi Job Constructions, aimed at improving traffic flow and providing a bypass around Sunyani city centre.
At Sunyani Senior High School (SUSEC), ongoing GETFund projects were inspected, including a two-storey 12-unit science classroom block, a two-storey 12-unit science laboratory block, two dormitories (for boys and girls), washing and lavatory facilities, classroom and toilet blocks, and four semi-detached staff bungalows. President Mahama urged contractors to accelerate work to meet completion deadlines.
The President also visited the newly commissioned National Signals Bureau Bono Regional Office and addressed a durbar of chiefs and citizens at the Great Hall, University of Energy and Renewable Natural Resources.
His Bono Regional Tour concluded with the presentation of grants to 245 beneficiaries of the Adwumawura programme in Sunyani, supporting local livelihoods and skills development.
