Accra, March 27, – The Council of State has extended congratulations to President John Dramani Mahama for his success at the United Nations General Assembly, where he advanced Ghana’s position on the global discourse regarding slavery and its enduring consequences.
In a statement, Mr Edward Korbly Doe Adjaho, Chairman of the Council of State, said the achievement reflects the President’s vision, diplomatic acumen, and unwavering commitment to justice, human dignity, and historical accountability.
"It further reinforces Ghana's longstanding reputation as a beacon of Pan-Africanism and a principled voice in the community of nations," the statement noted.
The Council commended President Mahama for elevating Ghana’s standing on the international stage and championing a cause of profound global significance.
"We are confident that this milestone will continue to inspire national pride and strengthen Ghana's role in promoting equity and justice worldwide," the statement added.
