Ho (V/R), Feb. 21, – The Volta Region is fully prepared to host the upcoming “Torcher Experience” event spearheaded by Ghanaian music sensation Stonebwoy, according to the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu.
The Minister gave the assurance when he welcomed a delegation from the artiste’s team, working together with the Office of the Volta Regional Member of the Council of State, ahead of the March 5 programme slated for the Youth Resource Centre in Ho.
Mr Gunu described the meeting as productive, explaining that discussions focused on logistical arrangements and strategies to ensure the event delivers meaningful impact for young people in the region.
He praised Stonebwoy as a distinguished cultural ambassador of the Volta Region and expressed pride in hosting an initiative associated with him.
Preparatory works have already commenced, the Minister revealed. A task team has been assigned to tidy up and ready the venue, while maintenance works are ongoing on streetlights stretching from the Powerhouse area to the Stadium to improve safety and visibility.
As part of the preparations, the Minister and the delegation conducted an inspection tour of the Youth Resource Centre to evaluate the facility and determine any additional upgrades required before the event.
The “Torcher Experience” forms part of activities marking the artiste’s birthday as well as Ghana’s Independence Anniversary. The programme is expected to draw large crowds, particularly youth and music lovers from across the Volta Region.
