Accra, Feb. 24, – Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State for Government Communications, Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, says Ghana's economy has improved markedly since President John Dramani Mahama assumed office in January 2025.
Speaking at the maiden Presidential Dialogue with the Private Sector in Accra, Mr. Ofosu noted that the President and his team have crafted policies to foster a better business environment. "Much of the heavy lifting is done, and results are showing. Everyone here knows business conditions are far better now," he stated.
He stressed the need for candid feedback to refine policies: "It's one thing to make policy in government; another to assess its real impact on businesses."
The dialogue forms part of broader engagements with organised labour, civil society, and citizens through regional and district accountability forums led by the President.
"These platforms enable ideation, feedback, and better governance to benefit all Ghanaians," Mr. Ofosu added, urging private sector candour. "The President serves the people—that's why he's in office."
