Accra, Oct. 8, - The Black Stars of Ghana have been dealt a significant blow ahead of their crucial double-header against Sudan, with several key players forced to withdraw due to injuries.
Captain Thomas Partey, who recently played for Arsenal, has been ruled out of the matches due to medical reasons.
Joseph Paintsil, who missed the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger, is also out with a hamstring injury.
In addition, Ibrahim Osman and Kingsley Schindler will not be available due to club commitments and a medical emergency, respectively.
To address these absences, Black Stars coach Otto Addo has called up Michael Baidoo, Abu Francis, Jonas Adjetey, and Ibrahim Sadick.
The Black Stars face Sudan on October 10th and 15th, 2024, in matches that could be crucial for their qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
