Accra, Feb. 08, GNA-Dreams FC on
Thursday, February 8, entered into a GH₵250,000
partnership deal with Mybet.com to become the headline sponsors of the club,
for the upcoming Ghana Premier League (GPL).
At the official signing and
unveiling of the partnership at Ange Hill Hotel in Accra, the Executive
Chairman of Dreams FC Mr. Kurt Okraku noted that, the financing of football
clubs was a herculean task, thus the mutual partnership with the online betting
company.
“Football financing is a
responsibility that football administrators or club owners would always not
want to think about because of the toughness of the economy.
“So when you have a unique
opportunity of being with an entity that believes in your product and wants to
invest money, then you need to open your arms and welcome it.
According to Mr Okraku, the club
is extremely happy to have Mybet.com on board and to enjoy a very growing
brand, after it has also outdoored the other sponsors.
“This agreement would bring more
resources into the Dreams FC family and we would invest the money wisely into
the development of our teams, from the youth level through to the senior level”
he added.
Mr Akomea Kwaku Ohemeng-Agyei,
Managing Director of Mybet Ghana in an interview with GNA Sports said the
partnership was a full sponsorship that includes financial and a non-financial
offer to the club.
According to Mr Ohemeng-Agyei
Mybet has its parent company in Germany, thus the partnership would open more
avenues for Dreams FC in terms of player transfers and player trainings that
would help Dreams FC to explore and grow bigger.
