IPMC BOOSTS DIGITAL LEARNING WITH GH¢1.6M EDUCATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE DONATION TO GETFund

Accra, April 20, – The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has received educational and community development items worth GH¢1.6 million from IPMC Ghana to support digital learning and improve infrastructure in selected schools.

The donation includes five fully equipped computer laboratories, 200 solar-powered streetlights, and an incinerator.

According to details presented in Accra, the computer laboratories—valued at GH¢1 million—come with internet connectivity and are designed to serve both students and surrounding communities to enhance digital literacy.

The solar streetlights, valued at GH¢600,000, are expected to improve security and extend productive hours in beneficiary communities, while the incinerator, valued at GH¢5,000, will support safe waste disposal and improved sanitation practices.

Executive Chairman of IPMC Ghana Ltd, Amardeep Singh Hari, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to promoting ICT education and supporting development in underserved communities.

He noted that all equipment supplied under the package will be covered by a five-year comprehensive warranty, ensuring beneficiary schools do not bear maintenance costs within the period.

Mr Paul Adjei, Administrator of GETFund, expressed appreciation for the donation, saying the facilities would be deployed strategically to strengthen teaching and learning outcomes as well as enhance community safety.

He assured that GETFund would ensure the items are put to effective use to maximise their impact on education delivery.

GETFund, which supports educational infrastructure development nationwide, continues to collaborate with private sector partners to bridge funding gaps and improve access to quality education.
