Pastor Remanded Over Alleged Child Sexual Abuse Materials

Accra, March 9, – The Adenta Circuit Court 1 has remanded Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Conduah, a self-styled international radio marriage counsellor, into police custody over allegations of possessing indecent images of a child.

Rev. Conduah, 45, faces charges of possessing indecent images of a child under Section 62 of the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1080), and dealing with a child for sexual abuse. The court, presided over by Mrs. Sedinam Awo Kwadam, did not take his plea and set his next appearance for March 27, 2026.

The prosecution, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Fuseini Yakubu, requested the remand to allow further investigations. The Cyber Security Authority (CSA), the complainant, arrested Rev. Conduah at his Woraba residence in Eguase, Cape Coast, on March 6, 2026.

Investigations followed a December 8, 2025 request from the Cape Coast Regional Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit for technical assistance in a defilement case. Forensic examination of Rev. Conduah’s digital devices uncovered multiple videos showing child sexual abuse, with one clip allegedly featuring the accused’s voice instructing the child to speak on a pornography website.

Police recovered five mobile phones, two hard drives, two memory cards, a computer system unit, sex toys, and female undergarments from the residence. Rev. Conduah reportedly admitted to recording the videos. Analysis of his devices is ongoing.

Mr. Sam Nartey George, Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, confirmed the arrest on X, praising the Cyber Security Team and reiterating that violators of cyber laws would be held accountable.
