Accra, March 16, — Over nine million Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide are inviting the public to two special events aimed at educating communities about the Bible’s promise of a better future.
The events include the annual observance of the Lord’s Evening Meal on the evening of Thursday, April 2, 2026, and a Special Public Talk titled “Who Will Restore the Earth?” scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2026.
Both events are free and open to the public.
A release from the Ghana Branch Office of Jehovah’s Witnesses, signed by Mr Daniel Adashie of the Public Information Department, explained that the campaign aims to offer attendees hope, particularly as global conflicts fuel anxiety and tensions.
The Lord’s Evening Meal will focus on Jesus’ teachings about mankind’s future, highlighting their significance for believers worldwide. Mr Adashie said:
“We hope this event, an observance recognised by Christians continuously for almost 2,000 years, will help visitors gain the strength to cope with uncertainties of life today and connect us to a wonderful hope for the future.”
The Special Talk, “Who Will Restore the Earth?”, will be delivered in over 118,000 congregations globally. The 30-minute program will explore the Bible’s guidance on humanity’s relationship with the earth, its future restoration, and how to benefit from biblical promises.
The release recalled that Jesus instituted the Lord’s Evening Meal on Nisan 14, 33 C.E., with his apostles, commanding, as recorded in Luke 22:19, “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” Jehovah’s Witnesses observe this annual event as a reminder of the biblical hope of a restored earth.
Last year, the observance was attended by over 21 million people.
