Coach Otto Addo announces 26-man squad for friendlies against Austria and Germany


Accra, March 16, 2026 – Ghana national football team coach Otto Addo has unveiled a 26-man squad for this month’s international friendlies against Austria and Germany.

The squad features four debutants: defenders Derrick Luckassen, Patrick Pfeiffer, Marvin Senaya, and forward Daniel Agyei.

  • Derrick Luckassen, previously with PSV Eindhoven, Hertha Berlin, Anderlecht, and Maccabi Tel Aviv, currently plays for Cypriot champions Pafos FC.

  • Marvin Senaya is signed with French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre, while Patrick Pfeiffer represents German 2. Bundesliga club Darmstadt 98.

  • Daniel Agyei, born in England, plays for Turkish outfit Kocaelispor, having had stints with Leyton Orient, Burnley, Oxford United, and Crewe Alexandra.

Returning players include Iñaki Williams, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, and Ibrahim Sulemana, who rejoin after absences due to injuries or form.

Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare retains his spot as first-choice, joined by Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Joseph Anang.

The Black Stars will face Austria in Vienna on March 27, before traveling to Stuttgart to play Germany on March 30, 2026.
