Accra, March 1, – The August 6 Helicopter Tragedy Victims' Children’s Support Fund has raised more than GH¢10 million and US$20,000 to support the welfare and education of children affected by the fatal helicopter crash.
A statement issued by Dr Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, published details of contributions received between October 17, 2025 and February 7, 2026. The disclosure, she noted, was in the interest of transparency and accountability.
Among the institutions and individuals who contributed are Ghana Reinsurance, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Vitol Ghana Services Limited, Kosmos Energy Ghana, the Ministry for the Interior, Presidential Staffers, the Office of the President, PSC Tema, Allied Health Professionals, and several private donors.
Individual contributors listed include Kenneth Nana Kwame Brown, Timothy Addai Adivilah Balag’Kutu, Andra Appenteng, Seth Emanuel, Francis Dodoo, Padi Keteku, and Seth Padi Ologo, among others.
The statement indicated that donations could be made through designated accounts at Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited, Stanbic Heights Branch, Accra. The Ghana Cedi (GHS) account number is 9040013628372, while the US Dollar (USD) account number is 9040013628534. Cheques and bank drafts are to be made payable to “CHILDREN SUPPORT FUND 6825.”
It added that mobile money contributions could also be made via the approved payment platforms attached to the official communication.
The Fund was established to provide long-term financial support to the children of victims of the August 6 helicopter crash.
