AMOSA 2001 Year Group Commissions ICT Centre, Donates Supplies to Capedeaf

Cape Coast, March 14, – The 2001 Year Group of Aggrey Memorial Old Students Association (AMOSA) marked their 25th anniversary with dual gestures: handing over a 50-seater ultra-modern ICT Centre to Aggrey Memorial AME Zion Senior High School and donating essential supplies to the neighbouring Cape Coast School for the Deaf (Capedeaf).

The ICT facility—equipped with computers, internet, projector, and tools—was commissioned during the school's 86th anniversary celebration under the theme: "Building Good Leaders, Shaping the Future: The Role of Stakeholders."

Headmistress Dr. Mrs. Dorothy Adentwi-Hayford praised the donation as an answered prayer for the ICT Department. "Teachers have long sought new computers and better learning spaces. AMOSA 2001 has delivered," she said, pledging maintenance and student care for digital skill-building.

AMOSA 2001 President Mr. Joseph Baffoe, GNA Director of Administration, emphasized sustainability: "This complements existing infrastructure for digital-age learning. We've budgeted for ongoing maintenance to serve future generations."

Capedeaf Support Package
The group donated food items (rice, oats, tomato paste, pasta, sugar, biscuits, oil, beverages, water cartons), toiletries, and a new multipurpose photocopier with accessories to Capedeaf.

Vice President Mrs. Miranda Arthur cited community duty: "While celebrating our alma mater, we extended support to next-door neighbours facing daily challenges. Their struggles demanded our immediate attention."

Headteacher Mr. Gideon Appiah hailed the gesture as leadership in inclusive education: "This shows our special children aren't forgotten. The items will boost teaching, welfare, and vocational skills."

Legacy Impact
Mr. Baffoe reiterated the strategic vision: "In the AI era, digital literacy is essential. These projects empower students for the future." The 86th anniversary culminates with a grand durbar on March 14.
