Baadah admitted he was not a soldier but wore camouflage bought from Kantamanto's "Fose Bale" secondhand dealer to impress the nurse he met the previous day.
He faces charges of using military accoutrements unlawfully and falsely pretending to be a public officer. Despite admitting the offence, he pleaded not guilty and was granted GH¢30,000 bail with sureties. Next court date: March 24, 2026.
Chief Inspector Apeweh Achana said WOI Fiamegu Mascow of Military Police spotted Baadah on February 8, 2026, around 1800 hours at the hospital's Dispensary Gate wearing camouflage over slippers – no rank, lanyard, name tag or shoulder badge.
After confirming he was a civilian, Baadah was detained at Burma Camp then transferred to Nima Police.
