Media accreditation open for Ghana’s 69th Independence Day Parade at Presidency


Accra, Feb. 25, – Ghana marks its 69th Independence Day with a National Parade on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Presidency forecourt.

Dr. Winnifred N. Mahama, Acting Director of the Information Services Department (ISD), invites media houses to apply for accreditation. Submit an official assignment letter with names and contacts of journalists/camera crew to accreditation@isd.gov.gh by 17:00 on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Due to space constraints, each media house gets one accreditation; those with existing Presidency passes may reuse them.

Key Guidelines for Photographers/Videographers:

  • Arrive by 06:45 for security clearance and positioning.

  • Display badges prominently; stay in designated media zones; follow security and liaison instructions.

Equipment Rules:

  • Professional cameras/video gear only.

  • No drones without prior approval.

  • Tripods/monopods in designated areas; stabilizers/gimbals permitted with guidelines.

Filming Protocols:

  • No movement during national anthem, presidential address, or ceremonies.

  • Avoid obstructing dignitaries, guests, or broadcast cameras.

  • No live streaming from personal/mobile devices—use official feed from Presidency Communications/Ghana TV (indicate interest in application).

Restricted Areas: Presidential dais, VIP seating, security checkpoints—limited to official photographers.

Accreditation is non-transferable; late arrivals risk denial. Wear formal/business attire.
