Accra, June 8, – The Board of
Directors of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited, has terminated the
appointment of coach Henry Wellington, following the recent poor run of the
club in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The Board has also terminated the
appointment of goalkeepers trainer, Jerry Adjei, whilst assistant coach Nii
Dodoo Odoom, has been assigned to the youth side of the club, Auroras.
This was after a meeting by the
Board of Directors of the club held on Thursday, June 8.
A statement signed by Mr. Kwamr
Opare Addo, Communications Manager of Hearts said, coach Seth Hofman has been
asked to take temporary charge of the team until a permanent coach is
appointed.
It said, the club would continue
the search for a Director of Football as well, and expressed appreciation to
the two coaches for their contribution to the club and wished them well in
their future endeavours.
The statement called for
continuous support from all stakeholders for the new technical team headed by
Hoffman.
