Accra, May 16, - Mr. Oduro
Nyarko, Chief Executive Officer of Wa All Stars, has said they are determined
to change the dwindling fortunes of the club in the ongoing Ghana Premier
League (GPL), after difficulties in the last 11 matches of the season.
The former GPL champions are
currently at the bottom of the 2017/18 table and have been tipped by many
pundits to suffer the drop at the end of the season, considering their abysmal
campaign so far.
The Wa-based side has accumulated
seven points from 11 matches, resulting in their worst start since they got
promoted into the GPL in 2007.
But Oduro who is one of the
experienced administrators on the local scene, believes they have enough time
to put things in place as they look to rejuvenate the side for a better
performance.
''I urge the supporters to stand
by the team and never relent because we shall bounce back. What we are trying
to do now is to revamp the team and give more energy to them, so that we can
perform better especially in the second round,'' he told GNA Sports.
He added. ''We are fortunate that
the second widow has opened and we're getting new players who would help push
the team forward and very soon we would get back to winning ways
Wa All Stars has been handed
respite as the league is on temporal break, whilst the second player
registration widow is set to open on Thursday, 17 May.
