Accra, April 11, - Alhaji Abdul
Karim Gruzah – owner and bankroller of King Faisal Football Club, is confident
of making a return to the Ghana Premier League (GPL), after being relegated in
the 2013/14 football season.
In an interview with the GNA
Sports, the astute football administrator said “if the grace of God fall on us,
we shall come back to the Premier League very soon.
“We are seriously working on that
and we hope to stage a comeback in the shortest possible time,” he added.
Alhaji Gruzah however lamented on
the judicial system of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), saying “they don’t
follow the rules and regulations of the Association, but rather the interest of
friends and cronies.
“In the past I was deducted
points for non-payment of fines, but others were left to go scot-free due to
selfish interest.
“How do you expect Ghana football
to progress?” he queried.
He added, “Ghana's football has
totally collapse and am surprised the media is quiet over it. The silence of
the media is not good for the development of football in Ghana.
King Faisal FC and the GFA have
been in a long standing legal battle at the high courts, after the former was
relegated in 2013/14 season.
