Accra, March 14, – The Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), has
donated $1,500.00 (GH₵6,500.00),
towards the coverage of the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia,
by the sports department of the Ghana News Agency (GNA Sports).
The donation, forms part of the
Authority’s contribution towards an in-depth coverage by the GNA Sports – the
nation’s only wire service.
Mr. Kojo Frimpong, Assistant
Public Relations Officer of GSA, who presented the cheque to ace photographer
of GNA, Mr. William Yesuko Fiabu, said the gesture was their token towards a
thorough coverage of the event, by the agency.
He said, the GSA would monitor
the coverage of the Games keenly by the agency and urged the journalists and
photographers who would represent the nation to give off their best.
Mr. Fiabu, expressed appreciation
to GSA for their support.
He said representatives of the
agency at the games would provide the nation with detail information and
pictures as well as follow keenly the exploits of the Team Ghana.
