Tamale, Feb. 14, – MTN Ghana has
marked this year’s Valentine’s Day with a blood donation exercise in Tamale to
stock the blood banks of the various hospitals within the Tamale Metropolis.
The exercise, which was held at
Dungu and Tamale saw some residents in the metropolis take turns to donate
blood to mark the Valentine’s day, (February 14).
Mr Kwasi Osei Hyeaman, Area Sales
Manager of MTN Ghana for Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions appealed
to all to make it a point to always donate blood to increase the stock of blood
at hospitals.
Alhaji Ziblim Adam, Principal
Blood Donor Organizer at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, said people who donate
blood stood a lower risk of suffering from cancer and heart attacks hence the
need for more to participate in the act.
