Accra, Dec. 05, – Former Real
Madrid defender, Michael Salgado, has praised the technical team of Lizzy
Sports Academy (LSA), for the high level of professionalism, they attached to
their training rudiments.
LSA emerged winners of the Ghana
Edition of the under-13 Dubai Intercontinental Football Cup (DIFC) last Sunday,
following an enthralling performance throughout the competition to the
admiration of spectators including Salgado.
LSA, would represent Ghana in the
Intercontinental showpiece in Dubai, in February 2018, where they would meet
opponents from other continents.
Salgado said, “I think LSA
deserve to play in Dubai for the tournament because they looked very organized
and that is very important for these young ages. The team looked very well
drilled.
“They have trained for a long
time with their coaches. The players have the ability and the physical attitude
for the game. I think they would be strong in Dubai,” Salgado admired.
He added that, he expected LSA to
reach far in the tournament next year.
“I know the kids now, so there
would no surprises for me if they go through. I know that they (LSA) are going
to be a tough team to beat.”
LSA would compete with big teams
across the globe like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Celta Vigo, Liverpool, AC Milan,
as well teams from Asia, North Africa and South America.

Marcel Desailly, was formed in 2010 and has trained a lot of Ghanaian talents
as well as other international talents.
The Academy has won the World
Youth Championship Cup three times (2015, 2016 and 2017) in Sweden and Norway.
