Accra, Dec. 5, - A Security man
has appeared before an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly stealing a five year
old girl at Kanda, Accra.
Afenyo Aduve charged with child
stealing has pleaded not guilty.
The court presided over by Mrs
Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku admitted Adevu to bail in the sum of GH₵20,000.00 with three sureties.
He is to reappear on January 2,
2018.
Prosecuting Chief Inspector Grace
Bandoh who held brief for Ms Judith Asante said the victim is a pupil residing
with her grandmother at Nima.
Prosecution said Adevu resides at
Spintex, Accra.
According to the prosecutor,
Adevu allegedly committed the offence with another man who is currently at
large and was not known.
On November 28, this year, at
about 7:00pm the victim was outside the house playing, when Adevu and his
accomplice called her.
Prosecution said the two lured
the victim to Kanda Cluster of Schools and kept her in the school canteen.
Another security man of the
school spotted the Adevu and his accomplice emerging from the school canteen
and when he stopped the accused person and his accomplice, they took to their

Luck however eluded Adevu as he
was nabbed and handed over to the Police at Nima.
