Takoradi, Jan. 14, - Mr Stephen Oduro Kwarteng, the Western Regional Lands Officer (RLO) has reminded staff of the Lands Commission to be committed to duty whilst eschewing bad habits that could tarnish the image of the Commission.

He said: "My administration is placing premium on motivation of staff, so you must also work hard and exhibit discipline so as to grow this enterprise."

Mr Kwarteng who said this at an end of year dinner and awards night at Takoradi encouraged the staff to even work harder to achieve their targets as well as market the Commission in a positive light to the public.

He said the year under review saw the Commission chalking out lots of success in service delivery and revenue generation.

“That is why our Clients Service and Administration Unit was ranked as number one by the World Bank,” he said.

In all six hard working staff: three from the junior rank and three from the senior division were presented with washing machines and other household items.

The three from the senior ranks are: Ms Linda Otchere, Ms Mary Sakyi and Andrew Gyan whilst Ms Esther Esi Kamara, John Sam and Abdul Aziz Musah came from the junior rank.

The Regional Lands Officer whilst presenting the awards to the staff congratulated them and urged them to continue with the good work.
