Accra, Feb. 12, - The Minister of Education, Mr Haruna Iddrisu, and the Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Technology, Mr Mohammed Adams Sukparu, are recuperating after being involved in a road accident on the Bolgatanga-Tumu road on Thursday morning.
A statement issued by Mr Hashmin Mohammed, Press Secretary to the Education Minister, confirmed that both officials are currently in stable condition.
The accident occurred while the ministers and their entourages were traveling to the Upper West Region for official duties. They were scheduled to participate in the 40th-anniversary celebrations of the Tumu College of Education and the Jahan College of Education.
“All members of the convoy are currently in stable condition and receiving the necessary medical attention,” the statement assured.
The Office of the Minister expressed profound gratitude to the emergency responders, medical personnel, and well-meaning members of the public who provided immediate assistance and showed concern following the incident.
